Eligibility Conditions For Joining PMA :
- Only Male Applicants are eligible.
- Unmarried.
- Age should not be more than 20 years.
- Candidates must have passed FSc Pre Engineering or O/A Level with Subject Combination (Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics) having at least 55% marks.
- Candidates of O/A Level are to submit an equivalence certificate.
- FSc/A Level Part-II candidates with at least 60% in Part-I can also apply.
- Part-II appearing candidates have to provide Hope Certificate.
- If applicants fail to get 55% marks in Part II will be disqualified.
Selection Procedure for Merchant Navy:
- Entrance Test at Multan, Abbottabad, Gwadar, Karachi, Lahore, Muzaffarabad, Peshawar, Quetta, Rawalpindi & Sukkur.
- 45% Marks are required to qualify for the entrance test.
- Medical Examination
- Final Selections
- Running: 1.6 KM in 8.30 Minutes
- Push-ups: 10 in 2 minutes
- Sit-ups: 10 in 2 Minutes
- Chin-ups: 2 in 2 Minutes

Prospectus and Application Forms are available on the PMA official website. Interested Applicants should Submit Application Forms along with a pay order/bank draft of Rs. 3000/- in favor of Pakistan Marine Academy, Karachi, National Bank of Pakistan (PMA Branch Code 0239).
Candidates applying under Self Finance Scheme must submit an additional pay order/bank draft of Rs. 300,000/- along with the application form.
